In 1967 the Summer
of Love resounded all around the world, emanating
from
Golden Gate Park and the Haight Ashbury it's message of PEACE &
LOVE... Make Love Not War! ...
I was in the military in Italy and all I could think of was how I wanted
to be there in San Francisco.
Ten years after the original
Summer of Love,
I finally reached the Haight in 1977.
I went searching for the spirit and ideal that had made this neighborhood
world famous, and found it,
making many new friends in the process, at the Shady Grove, the
Grand Piano, the Pall Mall and All You Knead.
